Doubles Curling

Welcome to the LoonieSportsClub website

   The Loonie Sports Club at 13 Maplecroft lane, Chaffey’s Lock is becoming an important part of the social life of local people. It allows people to meet and participate in the multiple events that are taking place here. In winter the main event is indoor curling and in summer the rink is converted to lawn bowling lanes.  In addition there is a tennis court, golf driving range, snow slide, basketball net, corn-hole throwing and areas for radio controlled toys, billiards, darts, yoga, and sitting and enjoying the area. Throughout the year there are special sporting events and social parties keeping the place hopping with activities.

                                                          

Prior to any participation in activities all members and their guests will be required to sign a liability-waiver form. You can access the form on line by clicking: WAIVER FORM


 The signed waiver form to be left inside the rink.      

The basic membership fee is $25/year /person. Membership is valid from May 1 to April 30. Members of the Loonie Sports Club will be able to participate in  all activities and social events the club has to offer,


Additional fees for Curling and LawnBowling leagues participation will apply.

A Dream becomes Reality.

Chaffey’s Lock can boast having the only single sheet curling rink in Ontario. The rink is  used for curling in the winter and in summertime it transforms to a multi use center of activity. The tennis court surface also serves multiple activities  as shown on the loon.
